NEET or the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a medical entrance exam, enabling students to seek admissions in medical institutes including government and private, to pursue medicine. This national level exam is carried out by the NTA (National Testing Agency) which is the regulatory body for NEET. The Indian government proposed the “One Nation One Examination” in favour of NEET. NEET – the UG level exam, since 2016, has replaced all the state level entrance exams including AIPMT for admissions to different UG courses in various medical institutes across the country.

NEET, the exam carried out in the offline mode, expects students to appear for it after having cleared class 12 board exams or any equivalent exam to be able to pursue an undergraduate degree in medical science.
